Our Story

The story of Hotel Miramare began in 1894 when the first establishment was managed as a bar by the Vallescura family, well-known in Silvi Marina by the nickname "Giallione", before later evolving into a restaurant and finally a hotel.

Its first commercial address was actually a cellar with the aspiration of becoming a bar: the wise "Giallione", an old sailor, had the right intuition. Over time, that building expanded, and from a small restaurant, it inaugurated the first rooms to rent to tourists. Giallione's sons, Marino and Tonino, turned it into a hotel, naming it "Miramare."

The Giallionis also started their own production of gelato and were the first in Silvi Marina to prepare the "pinguino" gelato, soon followed by the cappuccino gelato, delighting more and more locals and tourists alike.

The Hotel Miramare is still managed by different generations of the family today, and we have now reached the fifth generation.

We cherish important memories and always look towards the future. Many of us have witnessed the hotel's growth both in the number of rooms and in the services available to guests, from the pool to the restaurant, to the appreciated jacuzzi.

We believe that too often today, hotels are dominated by standardization and large-scale operations.
